Hey guys! How’s everyone doing with the social distancing? Are you ready for a little coloring fun? Today I made a bright and bold thank you card with the Stampin’ Up! Accented Blooms stamp set and coordinating punch.
I stamped the floral image with Memento black ink and colored it in. I used Copics because that’s all I have at the moment but I would suggest you use Stampin’ Blend markers for a better color match. I was trying for Bermuda Bay flowers and although it came close, it didn’t quite match.
TIP: Color with Stampin’ Blends markers for a perfect color match.
Don’t you love images that you can color. I find it so relaxing…It reminds me of the coloring books I adored as a kid.
I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment, punched it out with the coordinating Tailored Tag punch, and attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
TIP: To get a nicely filled in, clear solid image, use the Stamparatus. It allows you to stamp over exactly the same spot multiple times. So you won’t have those annoying places that the ink didn’t completely fill in.
Next, I cut a black mat layer and attached everything to a thick white card base. Finally, I addd a few iridescent sequins as a finishing touch.
Besides adding a pretty detail, sequins can be really useful. As you can see. I made a little boo-boo when I stamped the floral outline.
But a few sequins later…no one will ever know.
TIP: Use sequins to cover up little ink smudges or stamping mistakes.
