Hello Accented Blooms
Today I made another card with the Accented Blooms stamp set. Although the layout is virtually identical to the card I made last week, today’s card has a totally different vibe. It’s much more cheerful with a springtime feel — perfect for lifting a friend’s spirits.
Stamping & Coloring
To begin, I stamped the large floral image  in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Next, I colored the flowers in with Copic markers. If I had Stampin’ Blend Markers I would have preferred to use them for a good color match. But hey, You have to use what you have. (I’ve indicated the closest Stampin’ Blend colors in the supply list for your convenience).
I thought the card needed a little something in the top right corner so I stamped a border with the small flower image included with this set and colored that in too.
Finally, I stamped the Hello sentiment  in Calypso Coral, punched it out with the coordinating Taylored Tag Punch, and attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tips for Stamping Solid Images
TIP: Â Use the Stamparatus when stamping solid images. It allows you to stamp over in the exact same spot until your image is completely filled in. So none of those annoying little voids.
Stamparatus
Allows you to keep your paper and stamp in perfect alignment for repeat stamping.
Stampin' Pierce Mat
Can be placed under your paper to give it a little “cush” and help your stamps make better contact with the paper.
TIP: Â If you don’t have the Stamparatus, put something a little bit cushy under your paper. A foam pad like the Stampin’ Pierce Mat works best but in a pinch some folded up paper towels would work. A little bit of “cush” helps your stamp make full contact with the paper.
Hope you enjoyed today’s card. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
Love your Accented Bloom cards.
Thanks Ruth! 🙂
