Simple Ornate Garden Card

Hey guys! Today I have another card using paper that I colored from the Ornate Garden Specialty Paper pack. However, this card is super simple both in design and coloring.

The paper is the second white and gold foil design from the Ornate Garden Specialty paper pack and the sentiment is from the Ornate Thanks stamp set.

Not Only for Thanks

I don’t need anymore thank you cards at the moment so instead of using one of the large headline sentiments I chose to use one of the smaller phrases.

Take a look at the phrases. You’ll see that this set is definitely not only a thank you set but also an ideal friendship set.

• Seriously, why

Okay, so maybe not the last two, but you see what I mean.

Coloring

Today the coloring is as easy as pie. Just color inside the lines like when we were kids. No shading or blending required.

My sample is colored with Copics, but I’ve indicated the Stampin’ Blend colors that I think will most closely match in the supply list.

TIP:  Cut the DSP into card sized pieces before coloring unless you want to make multiple cards in the same colors.

Measurements

Here are the cutting measurements for today’s card:

• Calypso Coral Cardstock: 4″ x 2 3/4″
• Designer Paper: 3 3/4″ x 2 1/2″

Notes

After coloring my designer paper, I added the Calypso Coral mat and attached it to the card base. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow just under that.

TIP:  I always use the Whisper White Thick cardstock for my card bases. It is sturdy enough to handle however many layers or embellishments you throw at it.

TIP:  This layout would work with any designer paper. If you’re not into coloring just grab a scrap of whatever patterned paper you have.
