Why I Love the Thank You Die
The Thank You Die cuts out a bold sentiment and a bold sentiment is the perfect thing for a quick and easy card. Simply add the sentiment to a piece of designer paper or other background and your card is complete. Easy Peasy!
Why I Love Pigment Sprinkles
You can make gorgeous water color backgrounds with Stampin’ Up! Pigment Sprinkles. And Although they are a little messy (you should have seen my hands —LOL), they are extremely fun to use. My daughter and I spent an entire evening playing with them.
To Make Today’s Card
I simply added the bold Thank You Die cut sentiment to some of the beautiful Pigment Sprinkle backgrounds. I cut the sentiment out of Basic Black card stock and also used Basic Black as a mat layer.
I love the bold graphic look of the black against the bright colors of the Pigment Sprinkles.
For a final touch of bling. I colored a few of the Basic Rhinestones with a black sharpie and added them to my card.
Pigment Sprinkles Technique
There are many ways you could use Pigment Sprinkles — with a brush to watercolor, make “ink” and stamp with them, mix them on a block and smoosh them — the list goes on.
But my favorite way to use them is to sprinkle a very tiny amount onto a craft mat or other non porous surface spritz with water (it will bead up) and then press your paper into the beads of pigment.
TIP: Use tape to cover some of the holes on the bottles of pigment to sprinkle less. The pigments are very potent and you need much less than you might think.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and don’t forget to purchase your Last Chance Items quickly as they are only available while supplies last.
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
