Clean and Simple Cards

I’m all about clean and simple cards and if they are quick and easy to make — even better.

Today’s card checks off all of those boxes. Clean and simple with a lot of white space and also really quick and easy!

I used the Accented Blooms stamp set (which is on the Last Chance List) and the coordinating Tailored Tag punch. The  Accented Blooms stamp set is awesome!  Use only the sentiment stamp to create cards that are simple and quick. Or stamp and color the floral image for a more ornate look.

The Accented Blooms Stamp Set and Painted Poppies DSP used in today’s card are on the Last Chance List and only available until June 2 or while supplies last.

Last Chance List

Last Chance/Retiring products are only available while supplies last. Don’t miss out on some great items and deals.

For this card, I simply stamped and punched the sentiment, added a strip of designer paper and finished it off with a few rhinestones…seriously 5 minutes or less.

For this card, not only did I stamp and punch the sentiment, but I also stamped and colored the coordinating flower images…I probably spent at least 40 minutes.

I love the Accent Bloom Stamp set — You can create beautiful cards no matter how much time you have to spend.

Feminine or Masculine

As I’ve said, clean and simple cards are my go to style. But my absolute favorites clean & simple cards are black and white with a splash of color. I think they are just so classy looking. And you can use the same design for either a femine or masculine  card by changing the splash of color.

Look at these two cards (below). They are exactly the same except for the paper I used to give the splash of color. One card is definitely feminine while the other is definitely masculine.

Both of these cards started with a white card base (made with Whisper White Thick cardstock). Then I added a 5 1/4″ x 4″ Basic Black layer and a 5″ x 3 3/4″ Whisper White layer. I punched 2 Tailored Tag pieces for each card from DSP — Peaceful Poppy DSP for the feminine card and Country Club DSP for the masculine card. I stamped the sentiment with Tuxedo black ink and punched it out with the Tailored Tag punch.

Tip:  To get a nicely filled in, clear solid image, use the Stamparatus. It allows you to stamp over exactly the same spot multiple times.  So you won’t have those annoying places that the ink didn’t completely fill in.
