Good evening friends! I really don’t know how it got to be evening already, it seems like a few minutes ago I was drinking my morning coffee. Anyways, I was planning on getting this post up first thing this morning, but better late than never!
Today I used the brand new Stampin’ Up! Jar of Flowers Stamp Set and the So Sentimental Bundle to make my card. The sentiments in the So Sentimental Bundle go perfectly with the floral images in the Jar of Flowers set. Oh, and before I forget to tell you, the Jar of Flowers stamp set is also available in a bundle with the Jar Punch which is awesome because bundles are priced at a 10% discount.

Notes on Today’s Card
Coloring the Flowers
Today I wanted a more “sketchy” look so instead of carefully coloring and blending, I just quickly added color with my Stampin’ Blend Markers and purposely left white areas. I also made no attempt to blend the light and dark areas. After I finished coloring I used Paper Snips to fussy cut the bouquet.
Adding Dimension
After I stamped the sentiment from the So Sentimental Stamp Set, I cropped it with the largest scalloped rectangle die from the Stitched So Sweetly Die Set. Then I mounted it on a 4 1/4″ x 3 1/8″ piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock.
To give my card more dimension I used a 4″ x 2 7/8″ piece of a Foam Adhesive Sheet to attach the layered sentiment piece to a black card base. Then I added the cropped bouquet with Stampin’ Seal.
TIP: When using a dark card base, line the inside of the card with Whisper White Cardstock.
The supply list for today’s project can be found at the bottom of this post.
