Q. How much does it cost to get started as a demonstrator?

A. The Starter Kit is only $99 (plus tax) and is fully customizable. You choose up to $125 worth of any current Stampin’ Up! products, and you will also receive a business supplies pack containing materials you need to run your business (valued at least $35 USD). The Starter Kit ships for free!

Q. Do I have to sell Stampin' Up! products to others?

A. No, you can just join as a hobby demonstrator and purchase for yourself.

Q. I don't want to do this as a business. Can I still get the discount?

A. Yes, Stampin’ Up! supports all demonstrators, regardless of their goals. Whether you buy only your own supplies or sell to others, it’s totally up to you. 

You can take advantage of the demonstrator discounts and benefits from the time you join Stampin’ Up! through the end of the first full quarter. Then, you’ll remain active as long as you meet the $300 minimum quarterly sales requirement and your own purchases count towards this amount.

Q. What is the requirement to be a demonstrator?

A. Once you purchase the starter kit, the only requirement to remain an active demonstrator is to make your quarterly minimum.  If at any point you don’t make it, they simply de-activate you and you no longer have access to the discounts and benefits.  Basically you just go back to being a regular customer.  And, you are always welcome to join again.

Q. How do I keep the discount?

A. Your discount and benefits start as soon as you join Stampin’ Up! and continue for the remainder of the quarter in which you join PLUS the next full quarter. To keep your discount beyond the first full quarter, you must meet the minimum quarterly sales requirement. These sales can be your own purchases or things you sell to others.

If you meet the minimum quartlery sales requirement your disount and benefits renew for another quarter. Stampin’ Up! quarters are Jan-March, April-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec.

Hint:  Join at the beginning of a quarter for the longest window to enjoy benefits and reach your first $300 in sales.

Q. What are the minimum sales requirements?

A. You only need to submit $300 in sales per quarter. That is less than an average Stampin’ Up! workshop! These sales can be your own purchases or things you sell to others. Your orders can be spread out through out the quarter in any way you like and you will receive your 20% discount/commission (or 25 percent if you become a bronze elite title or above) on each order.

Q. What if I don't meet the minimum sales requirement?

A. If you don’t meet the minium quarterly sales requirement for a quarter, your status will change from active to pending on the first day of the new quarter. To return to active status, you have until the last day of that month to cure the shortfall from the previous quarter. In order to cure the shortfall, you must submit sales in the amount of the shortfall. These sales count towards the previous quarter, and any sales above the shortfall amoutn will count towards the current quarter.

If you don’t make up the shortfall amount your status will change to dropped and you will loose your demonstrator discount and benefits.

Q. I'm interested in doing this as a business. How does that work?

A. Stampin’ Up! gives you the opportunity to build your own business while enjoying creativity and fellowship. Included in the starter kit is a business supply pack to help you get started. You can host classes, workshops, share online, participate in craft fairs or simply sell your cards. Your business is unique to you!
